About COBAR

Cobar is a busy town located 712 kilometres north west of Sydney between Dubbo and Broken Hill.

Formerly a farming town with a cattle market and wool as the primary industry, it is now an important mining center with a huge copper mine opened about 1960 and a silver, lead and zinc mine opened in 1983 in which the most modern technology is used.
